New 2019 Championship Site

Field renovations and upgrades are underway at the Triple Crown Sports Complex in Fort Collins, CO. Triple Crown Sports is excited to announce it will be the new home of the Postseason NISC Softball Championship, starting in 2019. Are you ready for the #ClimbToColorado?

Participating schools will play in a Regional Round hosted by school institutions. Each Regional Champion will then travel to Colorado to compete for the Championship. 

Featured youth clinics, youth games (10U-18U), local service club volunteers, food trucks, outfield bounce houses, and much more, will surround the event. It will be a great softball atmosphere! 

What's New at the Triple Crown Sports Complex? 
  • Permanent outfield fencing with our featured left field "Colorado 14'er" wall. A mountain-shaped wall that is 14 feet tall and represents the 53 mountain peaks that reach 14,000 ft above sea level
  • New backstop design and netting system
  • Huge Dugouts
  • Seat back bleachers
  • Laser leveled infield dirt

Triple Crown Sports and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) have joined forces to bring back the National Invitational Softball Championships, a postseason Division-I event that will highlight the explosive growth of women’s softball and the depth of talent on college rosters from coast to coast.

The 2017 NISC featured 26 teams hosted in six regions, with Kennesaw State, Lamar, Liberty and Cal Poly advancing to the final four. In the championship game, Liberty beat Lamar, 3-1, to claim the title. Liberty pitcher Julia Dimartino allowed just three hits in the final game and closed the year with a record of 22-10.
