The National Invitational Softball Championships (NISC) will move from vision to reality on the evening of May 14, 2017, with the announcement of the NCAA Division-I teams slated to compete for this new postseason championship.
Tournament officials will make final decisions on who makes the cut for the NISC after the 64-team NCAA Tournament field is announced. At approximately 9:00 p.m. MST on the 14th, the location of each NISC regional and the teams competing will be released.
Matchups and game times for Round 1 will be announced by 9 a.m. MST on Monday, May 15. Regionals begin on Tuesday, May 16 and will be completed Thursday, May 18.
Times and dates for the championship round will be determined after regionals.
